Today we present a different proposal to you; it is not an initiative of cooperation but of education for the peace and the human rights that have been carried out in Cambrils, where, with a participative way, representatives of all the schools of the city have intervened.

It is a transverse proposal between different councillorships of the Town hall, the schools and the united entities in order to make everyone work, among the Council of the Infancy, the knowledge and scope of the Targets of the Millenium and to analyse how, from our country, we can contribute to.

This education with values initiative and the promotion of the participation democracy has had a good echo in the whole city and has allowed to spread the problems of the global deficits of development, opening to new sectors, turning into a real educational project, where the infancy has the word and is the main protagonist.

The arisen proposals have been of a very good level and have allowed visualizing the opinion about the infancy in regard to the municipal politics. That is why the Town hall in Plenary meeting promised to study them and, if it was possible, to incorporate them as proposals and orientations to move them to the municipal management, which has given place to some quite concrete initiatives that are already a reality.

In a moment as the current one, where the crisis has revealed some deficits in the democratic management, it is necessary to promote successful concrete initiatives of participation of real democracy. The initiative leaded by the Council of the Infancy of Cambrils of working with the Targets of the Millenium is a very good example to be imitated as it allows to visualise the global problem, the causes and above all, to promote that, within all the ambiences, initiatives are impelled to transform this unjust reality.
