Advice on local cooperation to development

The Catalan local cooperation is relatively young, and for this reason are not yet fully incorporated to the analysis the mechanisms of reflection, which can contribute to bring, to all stakeholders in the sector, practical methodologies that improve the instruments of diagnosis, formulation, monitoring and evaluation of projects. It is important that this impulse from the Town Hall, but as an open and participatory process at the municipal level.

In this sense the Ajuntament de Sant Adrià de Besòs promotes, jointly with institutions of the municipality, a process of clarification and formulation of the local politics of cooperation and solidarity to strengthen the local dynamics as a villa for the peace, solidarity and cooperation.

The advice provided by AVALUEM to the Ajuntament de Sant Adrià de Besòs and the Municipal Council of cooperation is divided into three specific lines of work:

• Make proposals to increase the participation of groups of immigrants in the local activities.
• Advise on the implementation of a municipal cooperation process direct with any municipality of Peru.
• Make a training process with the Council of cooperation to improve the quality of the cooperation that is taking place.
