Identification in the domain of the socioeconomic Development program based on the conservation of natural resources on the Rural Area of Camoapa. Technical assistance for the progress of the farm and of the quality of the dairy production

From 1989 the main work of SANT JUST SOLIDARI has been centred on the management of solidarity projects on its municipality brother, Camoapa (Nicaragua), although united efforts have been also realized towards other parts of the world.

In Camoapa diverse projects have been realized since 1995 in several scopes, especially in health and education (FAIAC, CDI, House of the Woman, Construction of the Hospital, etc), they also have experiences in the productive scope.

In February, 2010, they realized a Work and Reflection Day of the Standing Commission, in which they decided several points, of which we emphasize the following ones:

• To explore the work with agents of the social economy, in order to promote the socioeconomic development linked to the territory and coherent with the strategic plans of the territoy, to transform the Camoapa reality.
• Creation of a not permanent technical office in Camoapa to start the necessary projects to carry out the previous stuff and be able to do an opportune pursuit of the new projects and the already existing ones.
• Creation of new subcommittees in the bosom of SJS and of the Commission of Nicaragua, in order to improve the periodic negotiations of every project and in the meetings of the Commission of Nicaragua.

In June 2010, the analysis of a project was entrusted to AVALUEM called "Construction and installation of a processing plant of milk UHT in the municipality of Camoapa", proposed by SJS on the part of two milk cooperatives of the area, Cooperative Masiguito and Cooperative San Francisco de Asis. Considering the results of the evaluation ex-before realized, although this project is considered to be profitable, it remains beforehand insignificant. This owes fundamentally to the entire total of the project (near to 3 million dollars), although also to the doubts arisen in view of the checked secondary information, with regard to the relevancy, and the impact that could be generated. Clearly it is a managerial type of project, and the presented management form does not correspond to the SJS capacity neither to the principles of the entity. In any case, SJS can support the cooperatives with studies and plans of viability and business that could present the cooperatives to another type of existing financial backers.

Considering the previous thing, it was decided to do an identification in area in order to compile the lacking information and to identify a pertinent project for the area in the sector of socioeconomic development.
