Panel of experts for the elaboration of a protocol of evaluation of the first Central American Strategic Plan of eye-care

The Càtedra UNESCO en Salut Visual i Desenvolupament began its work in March of 2002, day in which the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and UNESCO signed the agreement in Paris. The project has been taking shape over the years and its members worked in cooperation in visual health with NGOs and social organizations. Its strategic objective is to improve the accessibility of people and disadvantaged groups to visual quality in Central America health services.

Their strategic objective is to give support to training centres public, work by the existence of legislation that improves accessibility to services, strengthen the coordination of the actors in the field of visual health, contribute to the generation of public health policy, and promote prevention, awareness-raising and education in visual health.

AVALUEM is invited to the expert panel for its experience in evaluation of programs of cooperation for development, especially with regard to the Central American area.
