Dynamisation of the participatory process for the elaboration of a proposal for a strategic plan for Geràfrica (2007-2010)

The Grup d'Estudis i Reflexió sobre Àfrica (GERÀFRICA) is an organization created in 2002 with the intention of being a framework for reflection and action that allows you to mobilize the efforts of its members to the development of the African immigrant community in Catalunya. The Association wants to support the efforts of the public authorities in terms of strengthening African associative capabilities and co-development, promoting actions in areas as diverse as education, training, culture, the environment and the development of the places of origin of the migrants.

GERAFRICA has set as main objective the fight against poverty, injustice and the promotion of Human Rights of vulnerable populations from Africa, and mostly located in Catalunya and European immigrants. Thus, the entity wants to increase and strengthen their capacities to increase their performance and incidence in Catalunya.

The Association believes that the elaboration and edition of a Strategic Plan GERÀFRICA 2007-2010 will enable to obtain a strategic focus for its activities over the next four years. The plan will allow the consolidating or revising of the vision, mission and values of the Organization, preparing the members of the Board of Directors to propose a new model of planning and participation.
