Description

The aim of the course is to strengthen the capacities of groups of migrated people to work in development cooperation projects with the locations of origin, with an active incorporation and strengthening ties with the society of origin.

It is pretended to agree on the concept of co-development, applied in Catalonia in the framework of the local decentralised cooperation as a mechanism for working at the local level in a mixed way; this method is used by NGOs, local public entities and associations of new citizenship. The course provides tools for the identification and formulation of projects of cooperation and development with their locations of origin.

Manresa and Sant Joan Despí’s councils commissioned to AVALUEM the realization of some participatory workshops to introduce the co-development.

Contents of the course

  • Introduction to the co-development.
  • Concept of cooperation development with the locations of origin of migrated persons and lace with the Catalan cooperation.
  • Potential aspects of migrants as agents of development.
  • Identification actors and potential aspects in the North (case study)
  • Identification North actors and potential in the South (case study)
