Introductory workshops to the logical framework approach methodology (EML) for entities of the Consell Sectorial de Solidaritat, Cooperació i Benestar of Olesa de Montserrat

Motivations of the workshop

AUnderstanding in a practical way - and with a concrete tool- how to work the planning of the projects with the logical framework approach to improve the quality and results. The workshop is part of the will of the Town Hall of Olesa de Montserrat of imposing governance and strengthening the social links and the civil society as the base of a development that affects the redistribution of wealth and social justice.

The participants are members of the Consell Sectorial de Solidaritat, Cooperació I Benestar Social of Olesa de Montserrat, an organ of citizen participation shaped by local authorities and that coordinates the tasks related to the international cooperation together with the responsible Department.

Content of the workshop

The general content of the course is the management of the international cooperation project cycle -the different phases of life from a project with procedures of decision-making and clearly defined management activities. All the content will be presented in parallel to a hypothetical case that will help everyone to put in practice all that is arising during the course.

The course is divided in two sessions of four hours each one:

• Features of the logical framework approach (EML) and project identification. We will define the methodology for the planning of the projects or programs that allow improving the management of the entire project. Then, we will deal with the stages of project identification: the identification of beneficiaries and affected, problem analysis, analysis of the objectives and the analysis of alternatives.
• The stage of project formulation. We will talk about the matrix of planning, schedule and feasibility analysis.
