The evaluated program
The program promotes, from a local dimension, the change of the world energetic paradigm through two action lines:
- The analysis of the energy crisis, emphasizing the social and environmental impacts that it is provoking and showing how these are violating the human rights, recognized and emergent.
- The construction of the Right to the Access to the Energy and its relation with the Human development, emphasises the inequality between the North and South in the consumption and in the access to the energy, as well as for the malbaratamiento and excessive use of the fossil fuels of the citizens of the North, which affect in an irreversible way the citizens of the South.
These two lines are being developed from four scopes: formation by doing of the achievement a course on extractive industries and development, sensitization with the celebration of days and conferences on the impact of the oil industry, incidence and investigation by studying cases.
The final target is to mobilize the Catalan society about the impact of the economic, social, environmental and cultural rights that the current energy model causes in the world, proposing sustainable alternatives to the current one.
