Council of the infancy of Cambrils. We decide solidarity

The project to evaluate

The Council of the Infancy is an advisory organ that considers as the main target the integration the vision of the children in the local public policies through a series of proposals that they do in relation to a concrete topic. The course 2009-2010 the topic was: MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS. The different representatives are part of the council as they have been chosen by the classes of fifth and sixth of the Cambrils schools.

The program wants:

• To construct a more democratic Cambrils through the participation of their children.
• To promote a major conscience of the challenges that we have the set the whole planet with the MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDG).
• To promote a major conscience and implication in Cambrils working jointly in the frame of the Educational Project of City.
• To encourage in the school community the sensitization towards the fight against the poverty and to promote the development in the world and to promote the approach with the local authorities that work for the solidarity.
• To open the school community to the functioning of the local institutions to promote the civil participation of the young people to evolve and to propitiate mechanisms of local governance.
