The project to evaluate

The program aims to significantly reduce the vulnerability of families and organizations in the province with higher rates of poverty in Ecuador, Bolivar, specifically in the cantons Guaranda, Echeandía and the ships, through the improvement of the living conditions, the production increase - in quantity and quality, agile access to credit and financing, and marketing in local markets, national and international.

For this process is planned a double structure of interinstitucional alliances. In Catalonia, composed of public and private institutions of cooperation and Ecuador composed by Ecuadorian institutions with an extensive experience in cooperation for the development and implementation of endogenous local development projects; through which there is the will to promote the establishment of sustainable and competitive value chains.

As operational strategies, it employs the following: socio-organizational strengthening and the formation of provincial networks; environmental conservation, linked to the rational use of water in agricultural production of farms with an approach of completeness; the promotion and consolidation of popular finance at the service of the population and local initiatives; the processing of products to give them added value, implementing quality controls and improving business management; and, finally, the marketing of healthy and organic products that meet the demand of new national and international markets.

As a result, favourable conditions of access to knowledge and technology will be achieved, also an improvement on the family nutrition and the income families target of action, impacting positively on local capabilities addressed to a local sustainable and endogenous development.
